Penance

There's an aspect to the composition of this piece that's quite personal to me in terms of being more than just an illustration of Ghost Rider. I feel as though the noise in my head definitely helped flesh this illustration out more so than I thought it even could.

Something about finding peace in the thought that life, in spite of our despicable, fallen nature, is a constant struggle to find one's way back to God... or simply what's good and right, if you're someone that doesn't exactly believe in more than what we have out here already.

And that's part of the reason I decided not to post this during such festivities as 2024 neared its end. Might have been more or less a mood killer by that time. So, kinda makes more sense to start with this for 2025 as a way to clear my head so to speak. Hahaha.

Anyway, sorry about that introspective description. No need to look that deep into this. Do feel free to just enjoy the artwork as it is, a painting/drawing of good ol' Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider!
